After The Singularity

Singularity
Ben Goertzel was recently asked the open question, "What happens after the Singularity".  The answers are fascinating and thought-provoking.
On Stuart Dambrot's Crititical Thought TV, Ben Goertzel was recently asked, what will it be like after the Singularity?

Sourcing John Smart's Transcension Hypothesis, Goertzel explains how that maximal intelligence may work on smaller-than-nanoscale systems — femtotechnology, to create computation out of elementary particles at incredibly compressed scales. This compression may, in fact create black holes.  The answer to the Fermi Paradox may therefore be black holes.

Goertzel comments that the post- speculation has to extend beyond human-centric, anthropomorphic  forms.  "There could be a lot things beyond Terminator robots stomping around the earth."

Like Vernor Vinge's original proposal, Goertzel sees the Singularity as far beyond what we can even comprehend.  "The sky is not even the limit" he says.

Goertzel, is a self-described Cosmist and Singularitarian, is one of the world's leading researchers in artificial general intelligence (AGI), natural language processing, cognitive science, data mining, machine learning, computational finance, bioinformatics, and virtual worlds and gaming He has published a dozen scientific books, 100+ technical papers, and numerous journalistic articles.
